ONWARD & UPWARD: Blackhawk's eighth graders are ready for high school

Blackhawk Middle School’s eighth graders celebrated the completion of their District 2 careers during their promotion ceremony held Tuesday, June 3, at Fenton High School.
Among the 230 eighth graders who participated in the ceremony, the following students were recognized with special awards:
- BLACKHAWK FACULTY MEMORIAL AWARD | Amalie Adamczyk & Christian Slazak
- BENSENVILLE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION AWARD | Nicola Mateju
- FENTON EDUCATION ASSOCIATION AWARD | Camila Arellano & Tyler Bernero
- BMS PRINCIPAL’S AWARD | Nikola Mateju & David Aguilar Zamora
- HAWKS RECOGNITION | Nikola Mateju
